Hatian Woman Charged With Drunk Driving Threatened Voodoo Hex

BOSTON —A police report says an Everett woman accused of being drunk when her car rammed a newspaper delivery truck on a Boston highway, sending it plummeting 40 feet to the ramp below, threatened to put a voodoo hex on the arresting officer.
Police say 25-year-old Vivencia Bellegarde struck the Boston Globe truck on Interstate 93 at about 3:15 a.m. Monday. The driver, Paul Healy Jr. of Brockton, was listed in fair condition at a hospital on Tuesday.

The Boston Herald reports that when Bellegarde was pulled over police say she became belligerent. She also allegedly had three EBT, only one of which was in her name.
"I questioned her as to why she had other peoples (sic) EBT cards and she
began screaming that I was a 'dumb (expletive)' for paying for food when she gets it for free," trooper William Kokocinski wrote of
Bellegarde, noting she had her own electronic benefits transfer card and also the cards of two other people.

"She repeatedly called me a racist and told me she was from Haiti and she was gonna 'put voodoo on my white (expletive),'" Kokocinski wrote. "(She) told me to Google her name and find out who I was '(expletive) with'.

She further explained that her name translated means 'give life take life' and she emphasized 'TAKE LIFE'. She then shouted that she was ‘coming for all you white (expletives).'"
Bellegarde is being held on $10,000 bail after pleading not guilty. Her lawyer says she is looking forward to her day in court. Watch DOT crash video
