The Man Who Recorded Police killing Alton Sterling Has Been Fired From Work

Christopher LeDay, witnessed and recorded the tragic death of Alton Sterling and posted it immediately onto social media before police could confiscate the material in their investigation.

Following the event LeDay was arrested at his job. The arrest was allegedly for unresolved parking tickets, however many found the timing to be alarming.

According to LeDay’s lawyer Tiffany Simmons, LeDay tried to arrive back at work and was not allowed through the gate because their are still issues with his security clearance.

LeDay said his supervisor knew about the traffic tickets when he was hired about six weeks ago.

LeDay told the news station that he believes he’s on unpaid leave, because he posted the video of Sterling’s death.

“He should not be penalized or possibly retaliated against, he should not be embarrassed at his place of employment for doing what is right,” his lawyer Simmons said.
