INFORMATIVE: Inside Celebrity Groupies! (A MUST READ)

On Saturday February 25th 2012 private pictures of wave-making hip hop artistes Davido (David Adeleke) was leaked on social network site Twitter by a groupie, Sonia Jumbo, an undergraduate of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Ghana. 

The term groupie is derived from the word group, but the word is also used in a more general sense, especially in casual conversation, to mean a particular kind of female fan assumed to be more interested in relationships with stars than their works. 

Groupies will certainly do almost everything, including flying across states and traveling across towns to meet with stars and in most cases will involve themselves sexually or otherwise with any celebrities including the roadies with no questions asked. Some groupies will spend their money shopping for celebrities and taking them out to dine to be seen with them. (MuMus!)

Groupies are considered more intense about their adored celebrities than just a fan and tend to follow stars from place to place. On the one hand, some groupies will show off pictures to their peers to prove that they are getting ahead by hanging with different celebrities with no sexual favors. On the other hand, some groupies will attempt to have connections with celebrities and will seek sexual or intimate contact with them and in some cases, they will boost of how many stars they have slept with to their peers. 

Okay, From the hint above, you will understand that different groupies have different intentions, however, the stereotype has always been that they are out to associate with stars and will do anything and everything, including making inquires and showing up at hotel rooms uninvited to meet with celebrities. 

Most of these women failed to acknowledge the fact that these celebrities will do absolute nothing for them but merely using them to satisfy their sexual urge for the moment. (Na So!)

Celebrities get sex thrown at them constantly so when your goal is to seduce or group around celebrities, it means nothing to them. For the most part you are just the C.O.M (Coochie of the moment)  or Meat. (Shine Eyes!)

Important Message: 

Let's be honest, none is a COIN, therefore, none should bounce like a COIN. Why bouncing among entertainers? If you chose to randomly give out  sex to entertainers, at least be smart to give it to the person who can make the most difference in your life. Get Involve with the person, get to know the person's intentions, have a relationship with the person before giving in. That way the industry and afar will have respect for you as a woman and will not categorize you as a groupie. HABA! NA COMMON SENSE!

Below are 7 different categories of Groupie:

1.Cheap Groupies: This type of groupies are pretty simple, they will chase any guy just because he is in entertainment industry. To them, age and who? doesn't matter, they are out to get in. This type of groupies think they are getting ahead of their peers and in most cases will call their peers and brag about their affairs with celebrities and will post pictures in social media afterward to prove it. They also don't care too much about how the guy looks aesthetically as long as the guy is in the industry, they are interested and in. 

2. Talented Groupies: This type of groupies are strictly industry! You might find them disguised as a stylist, personal assistant, personal shopper, celebrity host, or the dreaded model. If they are college graduates, they may fancy themselves as lawyers, accountants, business managers, publicists, and realtors. On the surface you would never think they are groupies because they will make it seem like their days are filled with being in the midst of celebrities or men with money and power. If you take a look at their social calendar, they never hang out with common folks. They are mainstay RSVP name at every industry event. They are always on the red carpet with a familiar male face. They will attend uninvited events and maneuver themselves into the read carpet and back stage to meet celebrities.  Very few women can be in this circle because it takes actual work, class, beauty and talent!

3. Sharp Sharp Groupies: These are the women who will wait outside the arena gates after an awards show or any events and do anything, sometimes right there in the parking lot. Sharp Sharp Groupies will show up in hotels uninvited knocking at a celebrity's door believing that their attractive look will get them in that hotel room. They are mostly very beautiful and irresistible. If a celebrity is feeling particularly chivalrous, he might let one service him in his Range Rover/Limo or even let them in when they show up at the hotel. They are mostly cheap and simply won’t go that far to meet with a celebrity. They keep it local, and once any celebrity shows up locally they are there, since they are friends with almost all the event organizers and uses them to maneuver their ways. 

4. Fake Groupies: The most prevalent, but secretive category. Fake Groupies will secretly sleep with any celebrity if the opportunity arises, yes, but they won’t do just anything, and they don’t wait in parking lots. They want to be respected and be perceived as innocent ones that just hang out with celebrities without any sexual favors and they will go extra lengths to protect their reputation. Their main goal is to take pictures with celebrities for social media and in some cases will give in sex if that's what it will take to get that picture. They’re the ones that reads "True Love magazine", looking at the fashion pages but doing the look for less. They’re mostly blue-collar,and more likely to be swept up by the “culture”.  They are notch in the belt party girls, and they’d be happy with a fling with any member of the entourage and still want to look innocent. Travel is never an issue, basically, being a groupie is their secret hobby and for that reason Fake Groupies have a helluva lot of fun.

5.Topline Groupies: These are the women who are just classy enough to merit a second encounter with a celebrity. They might even get to rock a piece of jewelry and ride shotgun in the celebrity's car. Very high maintenance type ladies. To be a Topline Groupies, you need to be carrying real Louis Vuitton, and ALWAYS have top quality weaves on! Virgin Remy, Malaysian, Peruvian sold by the gram/bundle. No packet weaves here lol. You also have to always appear extremely gorgeous and classy. But most Topline Groupies are often in denial. They refuse to see themselves as groupies. Mostly older women and some married women, including some young and stupid women fall under this category. They will spent their hard earned money on celebrities. Publicity is out of question since most of them are very secretive and have reasons to hide their affairs. 

6. Target Groupies: There's a common saying that if a man leads with his money, he can't expect a woman to not want a piece of it. Target Groupies are usually jobless, they prey on celebrities and event organizers. They are the type that'll ask "what do you do?" before she even knows your name or age. They tend to pursue celebrities for their money, but ended up with either being used or pushed to the curve. Wait, It might seem like a big jump from one rich star to another star in space of days, big deal, once it on the news that a celebrity lands a new project their eyes will sharpen, they want a share of the bread. They wants a celebrity to claim as their own; but free bottle service is hard to turn down right? Since most celebrities are cheap, Target Groupies often struggles to get along with stars, therefore, the supply curve of their target is relatively narrow. They are mostly older controlling greedy women and in some instances very young and stupid.

7. Smart Groupies: These are stratospheric category of babe who might end up engaged or married to an entertainer. Smart groupies also includes women who by one way or the other get themselves on backstage with all the entertainers for a common goal, getting to meet and really get involved with an industry man. They tend to be very attractive and appear very innocent with seductive accents. They may not come off showing that they want a serious relationships/marry celebrities, but they won’t be left out on the curb either. They are always ready to secretly swindle with the next celebrity if the current one is not dancing to their tune. They take really long time succumb, since they very much aware of what they want. Their body will glorify cheap cloths from a DOT store lol. Their reputation is extremely important to them and celebrities respects them, due to the way they carry themselves. 

If you fall into any of these categories mentioned above, don't take offense when peers referre to you as a GROUPIE. Make best use of your time. Thanks!
