Billed as the most expensive movie to come out of Nigeria with a budget of $8 million (1.27 Billion Naira).  With an international cast headlined by Ejiofor, Thandie Newton (UK), Anika Noni-Rose (USA) and the brightest of Nollywood talents in supporting roles – Genevieve Nnaji, Onyeka Onwenu, OC Ukeje – the excitement was palpable. After some flirtation with world cinema, Nollywood was finally ready to play in the big leagues.

According to our source, months after its worldwide premiere of ‘Half of a Yellow Sun, Soda Pictures secured the UK rights while Leapfrog will be distributing in the Australian and New Zealand territories.
