Dallas police officers were ambushed and killed by snipers during a protest against police brutality in downtown Dallas.
The Police Department said that three suspects are in custody, one claimed bombs were planted in downtown and that one holed himself up in a community college garage early Friday shot and killed himself.
Five officers were killed and six wounded. The event marks the deadliest single attack on officers since Sept. 11, according to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
