A 20-year old Ibrahim Adamumale was apprehended in Affa, Udi Local Government Enugu State for allegedly possessing an AK 47 Riffle with 24 rounds of live ammunition.
The Nassarawa State origin lives at the Hausa quarters in 9th mile. He is a herdsman with some cows at Affa, Udi bush and was arrested by collective efforts of the police and the members of the community.
Suspect is now helping the police in their investigations in relation to how he came about the riffle. The state commissioner of police Emmanuel Ojukwu has expressed delight at the effort of his men and the community leading to the arrest of the suspected hoodlum and the recovery of the gun and ammunition pointing out that Enugu state under his watch, will continue to partner with relevant stakeholders and sister Agencies for a safe and secured environment.
