NINA’S DOWRY Premieres At NAFCA EVE Sept 13th In DC (A MUST SEE)



NINAH'S DOWRY SYNOPSIS

At 20, Ninah is a veteran wife of 7 years and a mother of 3 who is stuck in an abusive relationship with no hope of change. When news of her gravely ill father reaches her, she disobeys her husband's orders not to go so she could speak her peace to the man who put her in bondage. After her father dies, Ninah refuses to return home and stays instead to run a small restaurant. When news reaches her husband that Ninah is pregnant, he comes to recover the dowry he paid or take home the woman he owns. By any means necessary.
ANURIN NWUNEMBOM (as Memfi)
AnurinAnurin caught the performing bug in High School and gave up the pursuit of Law to obtain a degree in Performing Arts at the University of Buea. He went on to Produce and Direct plays staged by the University Theater Troupe. Through workshops and hands on experience he developed Screenwriting and Film Production skills which he has put to the test as 2nd AD, Casting Director, Writer and Director of several shorts. On Ninah’s Dowry he was able to pull these skills together both in front of the camera as the villain, Memfi, and behind the camera as the Unit Production Manager.

MBUFUNG SEIKEH (as Ninah)

MbufungMbufung is a graduate of Linguistics at the University of Buea. As part of the University Theater troupe she performed in several productions. Since graduation she has appeared in several shorts and Ninah’s Dowry is her fourth feature and her first lead.

CRISTA EKA (as Clarise)

CristaEKA is a multitalented entertainer whose acting credits include three features and national print campaigns. She recently produced and directed her first short, Doormat, and looks forward to working regularly both in front of and behind the camera.
