"Straight Outta Compton" nailed the music and the attitude of N.W.A, but totally whiffed on baseball accuracy.
The opening scene of the movie shows Eazy in Compton, 1986, wearing his familiar White Sox baseball cap with "SOX" in olde English lettering. Only problem is the South Siders didn't adopt that version of their logo until 1991.
Yeah, we know ... only serious baseball historians/nerds would notice this kind of blooper and they did.
Well the director F. Gary Gray's response would be "Scoreboard!" nailing $60 million at the box office.
