Hannah Awolowo Dies At 99

Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo 99 the wife of one of Nigeria's most respected politicians, Obafemi Awolowo died earlier today. She died in her sleep in her country home of Ikenne in Ogun state.

Mrs. Awolowo, achieved great fame and respect as a confidante of her late husband and custodian of his tremendous political and cultural legacy. Her grand daughter is the wife of Nigeria's current Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo.
