Where are these stars?
Well, some of them have left the shores of Nigeria to pursue either greener pastures abroad or to settle down in marriage. Those in this category include pretty Regina Askia-williams (New York), Victoria Inyama-okri (London), Sandra Achums (Germany), Rita Nzelu, Rita Nwankwo, Dolly unachukwu, Jenifer Eliogu-uchenna, Georgina Onuoha-igwebe (not really an old actress like the others), Amaeze Imahiagbe (America), Bobby Ejike, Robert Peters (America).
The next category falls under born againism such as Liz Benson, Edyth Jane Azu-anyalogu, Okey ogunjiofor.
The next category are those who combine acting with other things like politics, music, NGO, such as RMD, Hilda Dokubo Mrakpor, Onyeka Onwenu.
The next are those I feel they still want to be relevant but unfortunately they are no more producers' choice such as Franca Brown, Ngozi Nwosu, Ndidi Obi, Ann Njemanze, Stephnora Okere, Ibinabo fiberesima, Ernest Asuzu, Ejike Metusela, Suzan Patrick, Uche Obi osotule, and handsome actor Pat Attah.
Producers now go for new generation actors such as Mercy Johnson (the hottest now) , Ini Edo, Tonto Dike, Chika Ike etc.
Meanwhile some of the yesteryears actors who are still struggling and managing to remain relevant till date include Emeka Ike, Saint Obi, and Ngozi Ezeonu etc.
While those who are still relevant till date include, Omotola Jolade Ekeinde, Kate Henshaw-nuttal, Genevieve Nnaji, Ramsey Nouah, Nkem Owoh etc.
Nevertheless, none of these stars ruled the screen in the 90s like Liz Benson followed by Regina Askia. Liz Benson was idolized by so many, she was loved by the young and the old because of her acting skilks, beauty and brain.
